About the role
This is an operations-focused interview for engineers supporting mobile voice, signalling and subscriber platforms. The panel wants to see that you understand end-to-end service flows, can interpret traces and alarms, and can protect availability while working across vendors and network domains.
How to prepare
- Revise mobile registration, authentication, call setup and subscriber data flows.
- Choose an incident that required correlation across more than one core platform.
- Review how redundancy, load sharing and failover affect signalling and customer service.
- Prepare to explain your checks before and after a core software upgrade.
Common mistakes
- Naming network nodes without connecting them to the subscriber journey.
- Assuming failover alone proves that capacity and signalling remain healthy.
- Depending on a vendor diagnosis without checking network evidence.
