About the role
This interview focuses on supervising the people and information behind a busy last-mile shift. The panel is looking for accurate dispatch decisions, control of proof of delivery, fair rider management and sensible responses when traffic, weather or address problems threaten service.
How to prepare
- Practise describing your checks from order receipt through allocation, release and proof of delivery.
- Prepare examples of a failed delivery, a customer dispute and a rider performance issue.
- Review measures such as dispatch timeliness, first-attempt delivery, failed reasons and rider productivity.
- Think through how you would prioritise medical, perishable or promised-window deliveries during disruption.
- Be ready to explain how you run a concise shift briefing and handover.
Common mistakes
- Measuring speed alone and ignoring proof of delivery, safety and customer complaints.
- Reassigning routes without checking capacity, location and delivery priority.
- Blaming riders for failed deliveries before checking address, customer and dispatch information.
