About the role
This interview tests how you translate food safety hazards and quality standards into controls that work during real production. Expect the panel to probe your judgement on allergens, hygiene, traceability and incident containment, as well as your ability to influence behaviour on the factory floor.
How to prepare
- Review how you assess hazards and choose monitoring, verification and escalation controls.
- Prepare a traceability or incident exercise that exposed a weakness and explain how you closed it.
- Think through allergen introduction, rework control and line clearance on shared equipment.
- Choose an example where observation or test evidence contradicted completed records.
- Prepare a training example that changed a specific food safety behaviour.
Common mistakes
- Reciting hazard definitions without explaining how you judge risk in a real process.
- Trusting signed records without observing work or testing whether the control is effective.
- Treating training attendance as proof that behaviour has changed.
