About this interview
This interview examines whether the sponsored job in Ghana is genuine and whether your background fits the role. It also tests your understanding of the employer's arrangements, your own responsibilities and the need to follow current work permit conditions.
How to prepare
- Check the official Ghanaian immigration and labour authorities for current work permit rules and evidence.
- Review the job duties and match each important duty to relevant experience or training.
- Research the employer's activities and be ready to explain how the recruitment happened.
- Clarify which application steps the employer is handling and which are your responsibility.
- Plan accommodation, travel and your first weeks of settling into the role.
Common mistakes
- Giving job duties that differ from the offer or job description.
- Knowing little about the sponsoring employer or recruitment process.
- Assuming the employer alone is responsible for every compliance step.
- Suggesting that you could change work arrangements without checking official conditions.
