About the role
This executive interview tests whether you can lead the whole FMCG supply chain as a business system rather than a set of separate functions. The panel is looking for strategic judgement, command of service, cash, cost and risk trade-offs, and evidence that you can build leaders and sustain transformation.
How to prepare
- Prepare an end-to-end transformation with the starting diagnosis, difficult choices, governance and lasting results.
- Review how portfolio, sourcing, capacity, inventory and distribution decisions affect one another.
- Practise presenting a service and working stock trade-off as a clear executive decision.
- Think through resilience options for imports, power interruptions, supplier failure and transport disruption.
- Prepare an example of changing leadership behaviour when functional targets damaged total performance.
Common mistakes
- Presenting a long project list without a clear supply chain diagnosis or strategic sequence.
- Promising lower stock and higher service without explaining segmentation and operational change.
- Describing transformation as a technology installation rather than a change in decisions and behaviour.
