About the role
This interview tests whether you can lead bridal makeup work from consultation and trial through to the final touch-up. The panel will look for strong artistry across different skin tones, disciplined hygiene, calm client care and a schedule that works for the whole bridal party.
How to prepare
- Choose bridal cases that show different skin tones, finishes and event conditions.
- Rehearse how you translate references into a look that suits the client's features and comfort.
- Prepare an example of recovering a wedding-day schedule after a delay or team absence.
- Review your kit hygiene, disposable applicator and product separation routines.
- Be ready to explain how you brief assistants and check their work consistently.
Common mistakes
- Talking only about products instead of explaining technique and judgement.
- Treating the reference image as more important than the client's features and feedback.
- Underestimating cleaning, travel and contingency time in the schedule.
- Claiming every skin concern can be handled without recognising when to stop or refer.
