About the role
This interview tests whether you can connect packaging materials and dimensions to product protection, line performance and consumer use. The panel is looking for careful testing, sound fault finding and clear records, not years of independent project ownership.
How to prepare
- Review the basic properties and uses of bottles, films, cartons, labels and closures.
- Practise explaining a controlled line trial, including variables, samples, observations and acceptance criteria.
- Prepare an example of a laboratory, production or school project where evidence helped you find a fault.
- Think through how storage, transport and heat can affect packaging performance.
- Review how to record material codes, batches, dimensions and test results accurately.
Common mistakes
- Choosing a new material only because it costs less without considering protection and machinability.
- Changing several trial conditions at once and then claiming to know the cause.
- Treating an operator report as a complaint instead of useful process evidence.
