About the role
This interview tests how you supervise passenger services from check-in through boarding, especially when plans change. The panel is looking for calm leadership, accurate decisions, clear passenger communication and close coordination with other airport teams.
How to prepare
- Review the flow from opening check-in to closing the flight and note the control points a supervisor must monitor.
- Prepare examples of resolving a delay, baggage concern or travel-document issue without making promises outside policy.
- Practise explaining how you allocate agents and respond when queues build unexpectedly.
- Revise how passenger, baggage, gate and ramp information must stay aligned during boarding.
- Choose an example of coaching an agent after a service or accuracy error.
Common mistakes
- Focusing on apologies without explaining the operational actions you would take.
- Promising compensation, rebooking or boarding before checking policy and authority.
- Ignoring the effect of passenger decisions on baggage, ramp and departure control.
- Describing team supervision only as giving instructions rather than checking and coaching.
