About the role
This interview tests how a recent graduate would work in a controlled pharmaceutical production environment. The panel is looking for respect for GMP, accurate records, sound judgement when a process departs from plan and a willingness to learn from operators, pharmacists and engineers.
How to prepare
- Revise the main stages of tablet, capsule or liquid medicine production and the purpose of each stage.
- Practise explaining line clearance, contamination control and why unapproved shortcuts are unsafe.
- Prepare an example of following a detailed laboratory, workshop or project procedure.
- Review how to report a process deviation and preserve an accurate written record.
- Think through a clear shift handover for an unfinished batch or equipment problem.
Common mistakes
- Treating production targets as more important than product quality or safety.
- Suggesting that you would adjust equipment or records without authority.
- Giving a theoretical answer without explaining what you would check, record and report.
