About the role
This interview tests how you turn wallet event and transaction data into product decisions. The panel will look for precise metric definitions, reliable SQL, thoughtful experiments and a strong grasp of the differences between sign-up, funded use and sustained customer value.
How to prepare
- Map common wallet journeys from registration and verification to funding and repeat use.
- Prepare a funnel or cohort analysis and explain how you checked the underlying events.
- Review experiment design, guardrail metrics, novelty effects and sample contamination.
- Think through metrics for failed, pending, reversed and completed transactions.
- Practise turning an analytical finding into a clear product recommendation.
Common mistakes
- Calling every registered customer an active wallet user.
- Ignoring event instrumentation changes when explaining a metric shift.
- Measuring conversion without payment failures or customer-harm guardrails.
- Presenting a small movement as certain without discussing uncertainty.
