About the role
This interview tests how you protect telecoms revenue from usage capture through rating, billing, collection and settlement. The panel is looking for strong reconciliation habits, careful investigation, practical controls and the ability to get technical and finance teams to act on evidence.
How to prepare
- Map a typical usage-to-cash flow and note where records or charges can be lost.
- Prepare an example of a leakage you found, quantified and helped to close.
- Review how you use SQL and spreadsheets to reconcile large transaction sets.
- Practise explaining an assurance finding to both technical and finance colleagues.
- Think through controls for tariffs, bundles, roaming and interconnect settlements.
Common mistakes
- Treating every variance as leakage before checking timing and data quality.
- Giving a leakage value without explaining the assumptions behind it.
- Stopping at detection instead of following the issue through recovery and control improvement.
