About the role
A Spa Manager balances a calm guest experience with detailed control of consultations, hygiene, bookings, staff and treatment products. The panel is assessing your judgement around guest welfare and privacy, as well as your ability to coach therapists and improve commercial performance without pressuring clients.
How to prepare
- Map the guest journey from booking and consultation through treatment and follow-up.
- Prepare an example of resolving a sensitive service complaint with discretion.
- Review how you schedule therapists and rooms around treatment length, breaks and demand.
- Choose an example of coaching a therapist or receptionist to a clearer standard.
- Be ready to explain stock counts, product usage controls and room readiness checks.
Common mistakes
- Focusing on ambience while overlooking consultation, hygiene and privacy controls.
- Pushing retail products without linking advice to a guest's stated needs.
- Filling every appointment without allowing for preparation, cleaning or staff breaks.
- Discussing a complaint in a way that exposes private guest information.
