About the role
This interview assesses whether you can keep medicines available without compromising quality, traceability or working capital. The panel is looking for strong demand and inventory judgement, controlled responses to cold-chain and import disruption, and leadership across commercial, quality, finance and logistics teams.
How to prepare
- Review how forecast accuracy, lead time, service level, expiry exposure and stock cover influence one another.
- Prepare a disruption example that shows your decision sequence, controls and communication.
- Revise the actions required when temperature, traceability or product-condition evidence is incomplete.
- Choose a supplier problem and explain how qualification, performance evidence and continuity planning shaped your response.
- Practise explaining inventory trade-offs to both commercial and quality stakeholders.
Common mistakes
- Solving a shortage by bypassing quarantine, release or traceability controls.
- Optimising purchase price while ignoring quality, lead time and supply continuity.
- Holding excess safety stock without considering expiry risk and working capital.
- Treating the sales forecast as fixed instead of testing its assumptions and signals.
