About the role
This graduate interview explores how you would balance demand, stock, materials and factory capacity. The panel is looking for structured thinking, numerical care and the confidence to coordinate with several teams when a plan cannot be met exactly.
How to prepare
- Learn the basic flow from demand forecast through material availability, production and finished-goods distribution.
- Practise a simple capacity exercise in which several products compete for limited machine time.
- Prepare an example of organising a group project with changing deadlines or limited resources.
- Review Excel tools for sorting, filtering, lookups and checking totals.
Common mistakes
- Assuming every demand request can be produced without checking capacity or materials.
- Choosing a priority without explaining the customer or stock impact.
- Waiting too long before telling affected teams about a production constraint.
