About the role
This interview tests whether you can turn agricultural knowledge into practical support that farmers can use. The panel is looking for careful field diagnosis, clear demonstrations, inclusive community engagement and records that lead to useful follow-up.
How to prepare
- Review how soil, water, pests, disease and nutrient problems can produce similar field symptoms.
- Practise explaining one farming technique in simple steps and checking that a farmer understands it.
- Prepare an example of adapting a plan when weather, transport or attendance changed.
- Think about how you would track whether advice was tried and what result the farmer observed.
Common mistakes
- Prescribing a treatment before confirming the likely cause of a crop problem.
- Using technical terms without checking whether farmers understand them.
- Counting meeting attendance as proof that a practice was adopted.
