About the role
This interview assesses how a graduate would learn and contribute on an FMCG production floor. The panel is looking for respect for safety and quality controls, a logical response to line losses and the humility to learn from experienced operators while still asking useful questions.
How to prepare
- Review the basic flow of an FMCG production line from material issue to packing and finished-goods release.
- Prepare an engineering or coursework example where you used evidence to solve a process problem.
- Learn common production measures such as output, waste, downtime and changeover time without claiming experience you do not have.
- Think through how you would act when production pressure conflicts with a safety or quality procedure.
Common mistakes
- Putting output ahead of a machine guard, isolation rule or product-quality control.
- Jumping to a solution before checking where and when the production loss occurs.
- Speaking as if operators only follow instructions rather than contribute valuable process knowledge.
