About the role
This internship supports research design, fieldwork, data checks and the first summary of findings. The panel is testing whether you ask neutral questions, protect data quality and distinguish evidence from assumption. Academic assignments and volunteer studies are valid examples when you can explain your own work clearly.
How to prepare
- Review the difference between qualitative and quantitative research and when each is useful.
- Practise spotting leading, double-barrelled and unclear survey questions.
- Prepare an example of collecting, cleaning or analysing data for an assignment or project.
- Revise basic spreadsheet steps for sorting, filtering, checking duplicates and summarising responses.
- Think about how you would explain sample limitations in plain language.
Common mistakes
- Choosing a method before clarifying the decision and target participants.
- Leading respondents towards the answer you expect.
- Deleting unusual data without checking or documenting the reason.
- Presenting a small or narrow sample as representative of everyone.
