About the role
This interview is for an assistant who keeps products available, correctly priced and well presented in stores. The panel wants to see strong observation, respectful store relationships and reliable visit reporting, especially when shelf space or stock is disputed.
How to prepare
- Review shelf rotation, price ticket checks, planograms and the basic signs of damaged stock.
- Visit a retail store and note how availability, position and display quality vary by category.
- Prepare an example where you noticed a small error before it became a larger problem.
- Practise explaining how you would report an empty shelf, wrong price or missing display material.
- Plan how you would organise several outlet visits when travel time changes.
Common mistakes
- Moving a competitor's products without involving the appropriate store contact.
- Focusing on an attractive display while ignoring price accuracy or stock rotation.
- Reporting a shelf gap without checking whether stock is available elsewhere in the outlet.
