About the role
A pharmaceutical quality assurance officer monitors systems that keep manufacture controlled and records trustworthy. In an entry-level interview, the panel is testing whether you notice risk, protect evidence, ask useful investigation questions and challenge pressure without becoming confrontational.
How to prepare
- Revise GMP principles, line clearance, status labelling and controlled document use.
- Practise structuring a deviation investigation from immediate containment through root cause and corrective action.
- Review what makes a batch record complete, legible, contemporaneous and traceable.
- Prepare an example of raising a concern when others wanted to move quickly.
- Think of ways to verify whether a corrective action actually prevented recurrence.
Common mistakes
- Jumping to a root cause before gathering facts and preserving evidence.
- Assuming that retraining is always an adequate corrective action.
- Approving incomplete records because the batch is urgently needed.
