About the role
This interview focuses on independent quality oversight within a pharmaceutical plant. You may be asked to review incomplete records, assess deviations, challenge unsuitable practices and judge whether corrective actions are effective. The panel is looking for firm GMP reasoning as well as a practical way of working with production and laboratory teams.
How to prepare
- Review how you conduct floor checks and document observations that require immediate action.
- Practise reviewing a batch record for traceability, corrections, calculations and unresolved events.
- Prepare one deviation example that shows impact assessment, root cause and CAPA effectiveness.
- Revise the questions you ask before approving a change to equipment, materials or a process.
- Think about how you explain a delayed quality decision to colleagues under delivery pressure.
Common mistakes
- Acting as though QA owns quality without involving the people who perform the process.
- Approving an incomplete record because the missing detail appears minor.
- Calling retraining the root cause without investigating why the process failed.
- Describing a CAPA without explaining how its effectiveness was checked.
