About the role
This interview is about leading a warehouse network rather than managing one building directly. The panel will assess whether you can compare sites fairly, strengthen managers, protect regional stock and service standards, and make capacity and change decisions across competing local needs.
How to prepare
- Define the small set of regional measures and controls you would expect every site to use.
- Prepare an example of turning around a warehouse through its local manager rather than taking over the operation.
- Review how you separate genuine site constraints from weak execution or unreliable reporting.
- Think through a network capacity decision and the operational, customer and cost evidence required.
- Choose a multi-site change example that shows consultation, implementation and follow-through.
Common mistakes
- Comparing sites without accounting for differences in volume, product mix or service profile.
- Bypassing local managers so often that accountability for site performance becomes unclear.
- Imposing identical processes where local constraints require a controlled variation.
