About the role
This interview tests how you turn radio network data into improvements that customers can feel. The panel is looking for disciplined KPI analysis, practical knowledge of RF parameters and evidence that you validate changes instead of tuning by guesswork.
How to prepare
- Review the relationships between coverage, interference, capacity, throughput and mobility KPIs.
- Prepare an example where you traced a performance problem from counters to a confirmed root cause.
- Revise antenna tilt, power, neighbour, handover and load-balancing changes and their trade-offs.
- Practise explaining how you define a baseline, monitor a change and decide whether to roll it back.
- Think through optimisation constraints in dense areas with traffic, clutter and limited site access.
Common mistakes
- Recommending higher power without considering interference or overshooting.
- Listing KPIs without linking them to a testable cause.
- Claiming an improvement without a baseline, observation period or rollback plan.
