About the role
This interview is about enabling a software team to work well, not simply scheduling Scrum events. The panel wants evidence that you can facilitate honestly, coach without taking over, use delivery data with care and remove organisational impediments.
How to prepare
- Prepare examples of a difficult retrospective, a persistent blocker and a delivery improvement you helped sustain.
- Review the purpose of each Scrum event and how you adapt facilitation without losing that purpose.
- Practise discussing flow measures without using them to judge individual developers.
- Think through how you respond when urgent production work disrupts a sprint.
- Separate actions you personally took from decisions owned by the team.
Common mistakes
- Presenting Scrum rules as answers without considering the team's actual constraint.
- Claiming ownership of delivery outcomes that belonged to the whole team.
- Using velocity as a target or as a way to compare individuals.
