About the role

A talent management assistant keeps bookings, diaries and communication moving around performers or creators. The interview tests whether you can handle detail, protect private information and balance the needs of talent, clients and the management team.

How to prepare

  1. Practise building an itinerary with travel time, contact details, call times and contingency space.
  2. Prepare an example of resolving a timetable clash or competing requests.
  3. Review how you would verify a request before sharing confidential information.
  4. Think through how to update a client when plans change without making promises you cannot keep.
  5. Prepare to explain the difference between an enquiry, a provisional hold and a confirmed booking.

Common mistakes

  • Sharing private information because a caller sounds convincing or claims urgency.
  • Confirming availability before checking the diary and the authorised decision maker.
  • Trying to satisfy every request without recording priorities or communicating changes.
