About the role

A pharmaceutical warehouse officer receives, stores, counts and dispatches medicines under controlled conditions. The panel is checking whether you protect product quality, keep batch and expiry records traceable, work safely and refuse to bypass quarantine or release controls.

How to prepare

  1. Review the checks made when receiving medicines, including quantity, batch, expiry, condition and paperwork.
  2. Practise explaining stock rotation based on expiry dates rather than arrival alone.
  3. Think through how you would segregate damaged, returned, expired or quarantined products.
  4. Prepare an example of finding and resolving a stock-record difference.
  5. Revise safe manual handling, housekeeping and temperature-monitoring habits.

Common mistakes

  • Signing for a delivery before counting and checking its condition.
  • Confusing first-in-first-out with expiry-led stock rotation.
  • Leaving damaged or returned products mixed with usable stock.
  • Adjusting the system balance without documenting the investigation.
