About the role
This technical interview covers PLC logic, SCADA displays, industrial communications, instrumentation and commissioning in a working plant. The panel is testing whether you troubleshoot methodically and control changes around live production. Good answers show both controls depth and respect for operator knowledge and safety systems.
How to prepare
- Review the PLC platforms, languages and industrial networks you can discuss confidently.
- Prepare a fault-finding example that moved from symptoms through evidence to root cause.
- Revise analogue signals, scaling, interlocks, alarm design and fail-safe behaviour.
- Outline your backup, test, rollback and documentation process for a logic change.
- Think through how you commission controls with operations and maintenance present.

- Going online with a controller before confirming plant conditions and permissions.
