About the role
This interview tests how you plan and deliver discreet close protection for a principal in changing environments. The panel is looking for sound advance work, controlled reactions, clear communications and respect for confidentiality rather than aggression.
How to prepare
- Practise explaining an advance survey from arrival routes through safe rooms, exits and medical support.
- Review how you identify threats, vulnerabilities and practical control measures for a movement.
- Prepare an example of changing a plan when traffic, a crowd or a venue problem developed.
- Revise emergency actions for illness, fire, hostile attention and loss of communications.
- Think through how you protect private schedules and personal information in everyday conversations.
Common mistakes
- Describing protection as physical force without showing observation, planning and restraint.
- Ignoring medical, fire or vehicle contingencies while focusing only on hostile threats.
- Revealing a former principal's identity, schedule or private behaviour.
- Making unilateral decisions without explaining team communications and command.
