About the role
This is a practical quality control interview for someone testing beverages and supporting safe batch decisions. The panel wants to hear how you sample, protect data integrity, recognise questionable results and separate a genuine process problem from testing error.
How to prepare
- Review the beverage tests you have performed and the controls that make each result reliable.
- Prepare an example of an unusual result and the checks you completed before drawing a conclusion.
- Refresh the steps for equipment checks, standards, sample identification and laboratory housekeeping.
- Practise explaining an out-of-specification investigation in a clear sequence.
- Think about how you would communicate a delayed or rejected batch to production.
Common mistakes
- Assuming every unexpected result is a laboratory mistake.
- Retesting without first preserving and investigating the original result.
- Listing instruments without explaining how you know they are fit for use.
- Forgetting that clear sample identity and records are part of result reliability.
