About the role
This interview covers the controlled movement and recording of petroleum products at a terminal. The panel will look for accurate document checks, attention to tank and dispatch records, safe behaviour around loading operations and fair coordination of people and vehicles.
How to prepare
- Review the basic sequence for receiving, storing, transferring and dispatching product.
- Practise reconciling opening stock, receipts, dispatches, adjustments and closing stock.
- Learn why product identity, available tank capacity, valve line-up and transfer authorisation must agree.
- Revise common loading hazards, including static electricity, spills, ignition sources and vehicle movement.
- Prepare an example of resolving a record discrepancy without guessing or changing the evidence.
Common mistakes
- Allowing urgency or pressure from a driver to bypass the loading sequence.
- Adjusting a stock figure simply to make the reconciliation balance.
- Treating paperwork as separate from the physical product, tank and valve route.
